Celebrating Girls Internationally!

International Day of the Girl Child is an observance day declared by the United Nations to increase awareness of inequality faced by girls worldwide, based upon their gender. This inequality refers to areas such as access to education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, and protection from discrimination, violence and unfree child marriage.  It was first celebrated in 2012.  SMLS students will participate in a special Chapel celebration next week.  Millies unite!  GIRL POWER!
