In late October, we welcomed a group of 20 co-ed students and their 2 teachers from Collège Privé Saint Jacques de Compostelle in France. This exciting visit was initiated by their teacher, Mme Claire Gysel, an SMLS alumna who graduated in 1983.

The students spent an exciting, fun-filled morning at SMLS, and attended an SS2 Phys. Ed. class, where they enjoyed badminton and other activities. They then visited Mme Talaat's SS2 French class to meet the e-pals they had communicated with last year. They chatted about their Canadian visit and had a tour of the school led by Millies Claire F. and Chloe R., who hosted Chloe and Manon from the same school. The SMLS girls planned activities for the visiting students, which included the “Blindfolded Taste Tester”, lip-syncing, and the “Canada Trivia”. They enjoyed lunch in the Dining Hall with Mme Talaat's students and at in the early afternoon, they headed to Niagara to feast their eyes on the magnificent waterfalls! À la prochaine!
