Upcoming Workshops: Digital Wellness for Students and Families

On Monday, April 28, St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School is partnering with Straight Up Health to deliver two engaging and informative sessions aimed at supporting digital wellness and responsible online behaviour.
In the morning, Middle School students will participate in "Always Online" workshops, tailored to each grade level (MS6–MS8). These interactive sessions will explore real-life scenarios related to social media, online friendships, and decision-making. Students will have the opportunity to develop leadership and problem-solving skills as they navigate the challenges of growing up in a digital world.

Later that evening, SMLS families are invited to join a virtual session titled "Parenting in the Digital Age" from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. Led by Jake Ernst and Jen Peacock from Straight Up Health, this session will offer practical tips and tools for navigating online safety, app awareness, and building resilient digital habits at home. A Zoom link will be shared with families in advance.

These sessions are part of SMLS’s broader initiative to support students and families in fostering healthy, balanced relationships with technology.
