Annual and Leadership Giving (up to $24,999)

Each year, we ask the members of our school community to make a special contribution to SMLS through The Millie Fund.
Your gift will help continue to create an empowering environment where students and future generations of Millies can learn, grow and thrive.

Your donation can support key priorities and initiatives including our Signature Programs, Student Financial Assistance and our Head of School Speaker Series.

Grad Giving

Each year, families of our graduating class come together to raise funds as a Grad Class Gift to the school.

These funds establish a special Class Bursary Fund in support of our Student Financial Assistance program which helps more girls access a life-changing educational opportunity at SMLS. As they bid a fond farewell to SMLS, the support of our graduating families benefits generations of future Millies and creates a lasting legacy for their class at SMLS.

Gifts of Securities

Your donation of appreciated stock can provide significant benefits to both SMLS and your personal tax savings. To learn more about donating gifts of securities, please contact advancement@smls.on.ca.
Matching Gifts and Workplace Campaigns

Many companies use a charitable platform such as United Way, Canada Gives or Benevity to facilitate their employees giving to charities of their choice through payroll donation. Through these programs, companies will often match donations to the charities supported by their employees. Check with your employer about the details of their charitable giving program.

Giving Levels

SMLS gratefully recognizes our generous donors for their annual support at the following levels:

Friend: up to $1,499
Partner: $1,500 - $4,999
Scholar's Society: $5,000 - $9,999
Jubilate Society: $10,000+
Legacy Society: those who lovingly include SMLS in their estate plans.

Donor recognition is based on our fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).

SMLS is a registered charitable entity with Canada Revenue Agency. Our charitable registration number is 11919 1963 RR0001. SMLS will provide tax receipts for eligible gifts for income tax purposes.
